| Cats, cables and metal things | | My cats are totally in to cables, especially phone battery chargers. This morning one of my cats ended my phones charger's life. Why is it that they love to chew cables? I have never figured it out. The other thing they like to get their teeth into is a metal CD holder. Again why? | |
| | Would you live on batteries while living off the grid to save money? | | I plan on moving out on or before 2010 when I reach $5,000 dollars that I saved with my Supplemental Security Income, but the thing is that, along with my rent, I might have to pay utility bills as well; electricity, water, heating, gas, sewer (YUCK!!!), and any other bills that the authorities and the government might think up. I've been reading up on people living off the grid as well as people who are going green, so I figured that I might do the same to save some money. I can buy water from Wal-Mart and other supermarkets, i'm not so sure about the gas and heating bills unless there's a battery-powered blanket warmer invented already and sold somewhere, and I definitely need to bathe and use the toilet like any reasonable human living on this planet would, but I do have an idea to save my money on electricity bills: living off of batteries and other stored forms of electricity as an alternative to wasting money on such bills. It'll be like storing food in the fridge, keeping your food preserved until you're ready to eat.All this year in 2008 i've been purchasing rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries (mostly AA and AAA size) and battery chargers (not to... | |

| Tools. | | How many tools does your husband have? I noticed just now, that my husband has a garage full of tools and a trunk of tools. how many tools does he need? He has triples of some of them. He has three power dills and three battery chargers, Why does he need so many when he hardly ever uses them? Why do men do this? He has two table saws, and three individual saws. I mean how many can he use at the same time?Does you husband have way too many tools? Does he use them all? To me it's a waste of money to have this many? His trunk of the car is full and so is the back seat. If I need the car and want to pick up some friends they ahve to move them all to get into the back seat. I think this is crazy. | |
| | Tangled Charger Cords | | I hate those skinny cords on most battery chargers. I have a digital camera and a bag for the camera and all it's accesories. Now I hate the fact that the cords always seem to get tied and or twisted beyond belief. I spent about 15 minutes earlier untangling my cord. So now that I also have a car charger in my bag I decided to leave the regular AC charger on my coffee table so the cord wont get twisted or knotted anymore. (hopefully) I'll use that a lot more than the car charger. I got to where I'd wait till I left somwewhere to use the car to charge my batteries. But with the amount of photos I take that was at least twice a week. HAHAHA! Does your cord(s) get knotted and or twisted beyond belief? Any cures to stop this from occuring?
